Harrison County Vehicle Fire Likely Causes Wreck with Motorcycle as One Taken to UHC for Treatment



Harrison County vehicle fire also likely results in motorcycle accident during recent accident multiple first responders on the scene.


 

The accident took place Friday, July 31 with the call coming into Harrison-Taylor 911 at 9:27 a.m. The Stonewood and Anmoore Volunteer Fire Departments were alerted for a vehicle accident with unknown injuries on Buckhannon Pike around Roundwater Drive in Quiet Dell.


 


The Nutter Fort Volunteer Fire Department was also alerted.


 


First responders arrived to find a working fire in a KIA SUV. The fire was to the front end and was heavily involved. Fire officials believe the motorcycle accident was possibly caused due to the rider trying to avoid the vehicle fire. Nutter Fort Fire official described the motorcycle accident as “minor” in a social media post on the incident.


 


The fire was able to be put down in minutes. However, one patient was taken to United Hospital Center for basic life support. No details were available on their condition.


 


The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office oversaw traffic control during the incident. They will also manage the investigation.
