Bridgeport to See 34 Sections of City Facing Potential Water Issues for Period of August 17 to August 28




Please be advised that the Bridgeport Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the City of Bridgeport. This is an on-going project that will continue through Fall 2026.


 


City Employees will be flushing fire hydrants, weather permitting, Monday, August 17, 2026, through Friday, August 28, 2026, in the following areas of Bridgeport:

  • Carriage Lane

  • Easy St.

  • Garden Circle

  • Hillcrest Circle

  • Johnson Ave.

  • Kembery Dr.

  • Lodgeville Rd.

  • Oak Lane

  • Rivendell Dr.

  • Willow Lane

  • Woodland Dr.


WEEK 16 – August 24 – August 28, 2026


  • Arrowood Dr.

  • Cool View Lane

  • Crestview Terrace

  • Diamond St.

  • Driftwood Rd.

  • Gateway Ave.

  • Johnson Ave.

  • Kembery Dr.

  • Lindale St.

  • Magnolia Lane

  • Millbrook Rd.

  • North Mimosa Lane

  • Overlook Dr.

  • Point of View

  • Rebecca Rd.

It is possible, but not likely, that residents may experience some discoloration, cloudy water, low pressure, or temporary loss of water service during this period. This is temporary and poses no health risk. If discolored water occurs, simply run the cold water for a few minutes until it’s clear. This will allow the sediment to work its way through your pipes.


 


The City will not be responsible for any damage caused by discolored water.
