Soaking start to the work week

ORLANDO, Fla. – High atmospheric moisture lingers across Florida, leaving high rain chances around for the upcoming work week.

Monday

Our sea breeze will have more spark to it Monday thanks to a wave to our east and a stalled frontal boundary to our north. Both of these help to add more moisture and instability in our atmosphere for our sea breeze to latch onto. Our morning will start off dry with partly cloudy skies, with the exception of the coast. Our onshore breeze will help to bring in a few spotty showers around sunrise along the beaches. The sea breeze will start developing showers and storms just west of I-95 around 11am. Storms will continue to push towards I-4 a little after noon. Storms will continue to fan out and push west for the second half of the afternoon, favoring areas west of I-4 after 4pm. High temperatures will hit the low 90s before cooling storms move in.

Week Ahead

High moisture lingers around through the second half of the week. Rain chances remain widespread through the middle part of the week. Rain chances slightly decrease, but remain higher than normal, through the end of the week and into the upcoming weekend. Highs will remain in the low 90s with “feels like” temperatures around 100ºF.
