Former north Alabama police office appeals DUI conviction
A former Huntsville police officer has filed an appeal after being found guilty of driving under the influence.
Former Huntsville officer Scott Hartman was found guilty of the misdemeanor after a one-day bench trial on July 17. He was arrested in September 2025 after he was involved in a wreck in Downtown Huntsville. He was fired from the Huntsville Police Department in December.
