Bridgeport to See 28 Sections of City Facing Potential Water Issues for Period of August 3 to August 14




Please be advised that the Bridgeport Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the City of Bridgeport. This is an on-going project that will continue through Fall 2026.


 


City Employees will be flushing fire hydrants, weather permitting, Monday, August 3, 2026, through Friday, August 14, 2026, in the following areas of Bridgeport:


 


WEEK 14 – August 3 – August 7, 2026

  • Archwood Ave.

  • Blakes Place

  • Crestview Terrace

  • Easy St.

  • Edwards Way

  • Johnson Ave.

  • Oakwood Circle

  • Ridgeway Dr.

  • Sherwood Rd.

  • Valley Dr.

  • Ventura Dr.

  • Village Dr.

  • Vista Dr.

  • Westwood Ave.


WEEK 15 – August 10 – August 14, 2026


  • Briercliff Rd.

  • Carriage Court

  • Carriage Lane

  • Easy St.

  • Garden Circle

  • Hillcrest Circle

  • Johnson Ave.

  • Kembery Dr.

  • Lodgeville Rd.

  • Oak Lane

  • Rivendell Dr.

  • Willow Lane

  • Woodland Dr.


It is possible, but not likely, that residents may experience some discoloration, cloudy water, low pressure, or temporary loss of water service during this period. This is temporary and poses no health risk. If discolored water occurs, simply run the cold water for a few minutes until it’s clear. This will allow the sediment to work its way through your pipes.


 


The City will not be responsible for any damage caused by discolored water.
