Woman killed in Glendale crash



According to authorities, a vehicle was going south on 67th Avenue near Utopia Road when another vehicle pulled in front of it causing the crash.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — A woman is dead following a crash in Glendale on Feb. 23, the city’s police department said.

According to authorities, a vehicle was going south on 67th Avenue near Utopia Road when another vehicle pulled in front of it causing the crash.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital, but one, a 79-year-old woman, died from her injuries. The woman was identified as Lydia Gonzales.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation but officials said speed appeared to be a factor.
