Troy bowl-eligible after 35-23 victory over Louisiana, extends win streak to 5

Troy is bowl-eligible and still tied for first place in the Sun Belt Conference West Division after a 35-23 victory over Louisiana at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.
Tucker Kilcrease and Jordan Lovett each ran for two touchdowns and the defense intercepted three passes for the Trojans, who improve to 6-2 overall and 4-0 in Sun Belt Conference play. Since starting 1-7 last season, Troy has won nine of its last 12 games.
Despite all the recent success, Troy head coach Gerad Parker said in his post-game interview on the Troy Radio Network that he and his team are not satisfied. However, he had to admit that being bowl-eligible is nice.
