Torsten Richter Returns to Minor Hotels as AGM of Indonesia and Malaysia

Minor Hotels has appointed Torsten Richter
as Area General Manager of Indonesia and Malaysia and General
Manager of Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas, effective 1 July
2024.
In addition to managing the Anantara Desaru
Coast, Torsten’s responsibilities will include oversight of the Avani
Sepang Goldcoast Resort, Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort and the
soon-to-open Anantara Ubud Bali Resort.
Torsten Richter
Torsten has over three decades of experience
working in the hospitality industry and has held leadership positions in several major destinations worldwide, including
Thailand, Indonesia, Maldives, Germany, the U.S. and U.K.
Most recently, Torsten served as the
multi-property General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Hotel
Am Steinplatz Autograph Collection in Berlin, Germany where he
oversaw operations and ensured the highest standards of luxury and
service.
His experience also includes time with Minor Hotels’ resorts
in Maldives as Cluster General Manager of Anantara Dhigu
Maldives Resort, Anantara Veli Maldives Resort and Naladhu Private Island Maldives.

A German
national, Torsten holds certifications in Food & Beverage
Management, Revenue Management, and Sales & Marketing from Cornell
University.
