Steve Womack announces 2026 reelection bid for Congress
Steve Womack announced his reelection bid for Arkansas’s 3rd Congressional District.
ARKANSAS, USA — Steve Womack announced on May 20 that he is seeking reelection in the Arkansas’s 3rd Congressional District seat.
Womack is a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee, where he is the chairman of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Subcommittee and part of the Defense and Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee, according to his website.
Womack has served in the U.S. Congress since 2011 before serving as Rogers mayor for 12 years.
Womack is an alumnus of Arkansas Tech University and a retiree from the Arkansas Army National Guard, where he served as a colonel.
“I’m running for reelection in Congress because I believe now, more than ever, our country needs strong, principled leadership,” said Womack. “With President Trump back in the White House, we have a monumental opportunity to get our fiscal house in order, enact a pro-growth agenda, and pass on a stronger, safer America to future generations. Representing my friends and neighbors in Congress has been the honor of my life, and I’m well positioned to fight for the Third District and for Arkansas values in Washington.”
The election will be held Nov. 3, 2026.
