Stephen Wilson Jr. to Bringing “søn of dad Tour” to Clarksburg Amphitheater on Saturday, October 4

One of the most compelling voices in modern Americana, Stephen Wilson Jr. will take the stage for a special one-night-only concert under the fall skies at the Clarksburg Amphitheater on Saturday, October 4.

Known for his gritty storytelling and genre-blending sound, Wilson Jr.’s journey from the hollers of southern Indiana to the spotlight of Nashville is as inspiring as it is unconventional. Over the years, he has worn many hats—Golden Gloves boxing finalist, scientist, indie rock guitarist—before fully embracing his passion for music. In 2016, he traded his day job in the lab for a publishing deal with BMG Nashville, where his songwriting quickly attracted attention with cuts from artists like Caitlyn Smith, Old Dominion, Tim McGraw, Sixpence None the Richer, and Leigh Nash.

His breakthrough came in 2023 with the release of his critically acclaimed debut double album, søn of dad, a deeply personal 22-track tribute to his late father. Released on Big Loud Records, the album was named Holler’s No. 1 Album of the Year and praised by Rolling Stone, Whiskey Riff, and Wide Open Country as one of 2023’s best.

Since then, Wilson Jr. has made high-profile television appearances on Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Later…with Jools Holland. In 2025, he released a deluxe edition of søn of dad, featuring a moving cover of “Stand By Me” that has since been streamed tens of millions of times. His sold-out U.S. headline tour earlier this year has cemented his rising star status, and he is currently supporting HARDY on the Jim Bob World Tour, with stops including a finale at Madison Square Garden.

“This is one of those artists that once you discover him, you can’t stop listening,” said Superintendent Doug Comer. “Stephen Wilson Jr.’s sound is so raw and unique—this performance will leave the crowd wanting more. He is a true storyteller.”
