South Alabama women’s basketball stunned Troy 76-69 on Friday at the Mitchell Center, handing coach Yolisha Jackson the biggest win of her Jaguars career and keeping the Trojans from sharing in the Sun Belt Conference regular season championship.
Tamara Ortiz scored 18 points and Cordasia Harris added 17 for the Jaguars, who improve to 12-17 overall, 5-13 in the Sun Belt after their third straight win. The Jaguars beat the Trojans for the first time since 2023 and for just the second time in the last 14 meetings.
