Sickening moment man grabs dog and throws it through the air | UK | News

This is the disturbing moment a man grabs a dog and throws it in the air on a street in Glasgow.

The Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) has launched a probe into the horrific act of cruelty in the city’s Shettleston neighbourhood on Saturday, February 8.

Jade Harrison, 30, saw it all unfold along with her mum, who started filming after growing concerned by the dog’s submissive behaviour.

The video shows a man stroking what appears to be an English bull terrier, pulling the cowering canine closer to him as it tries to get away from him.

In the minute long clip, the man can be seen grabbing the canine’s head in both hands then continuing to stroke its back.

The dog lowers its head as the man keeps both hands on it. He then points to the ground as the dog looks away from him down the street.

It then walks behind the man who stands up and reaches down to the dog, grabbing its back legs and then throwing it into the air.

The poor pooch turns head over heels before smacking onto the ground.

Jade told the Daily Record: “I have never witnessed anything like it in my life. I was disgusted and distraught.

“I was watching from my window and I didn’t know my mum was watching from her window and was videoing it.

“We both had a feeling something was going to happen and kept watching to make sure the dog was okay then the next minute we witnessed this.”

Jade said she confronted the man before reporting what happened to the SSPCA. She said: “I was in some mess. I couldn’t even get my words out when I was on the phone.

“I stood face to face with the man and let him know we saw what he did and let him know we had it on video also.”

Jade added: “You can see in the video the dog is scared and this is an ongoing thing and isn’t a one off. There was no need for it at all, the dog didn’t even do anything wrong.”

SSPCA confirmed it has received a report and an inspector is looking into it.
