Scottsdale runway closed after aircraft goes into retention basin
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The Scottsdale Airport runway closed Friday afternoon after an aircraft went into a retention basin.
Airport officials said two people were aboard the aircraft that went into a basin located at the end of the runway. No injuries have been reported at this time.
There’s been no estimated time for when the runway may reopen. Public safety officials are currently on scene.
