Republic Day 2025 LIVE updates: 76th Republic Day Parade to commence shortly at Delhi’s Kartavya Path
India will commence grand celebrations on the occassion of its 76th Republic Day on January 26, 2025. New Delhi’s Kartavya Path will be graced by the presence of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto who will be the chief guest on the occasion for the ceremonial parade.

This January 26 carries extra significance as India’s Constitution, which came into effect on this historic day in 1950, completes 75 years. President Droupadi Murmu, during her address to the nation on the eve of the Republic Day, noted that it has been a period of all-round progress for a young republic.

The ceremonial parade will see 16 tableaux from across States and Union Territories and 15 from central ministries, departments and organisations, as the country will display its military prowess by showcasing some of the cutting-edge defence platforms.
