Recent Rainy Weather Results in Interstate 79 Wreck that Sees Vehicle Hydroplane and Roll onto its Side
Recent rain weather led to a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 79 in an area north of the City of Bridgeport.

According to information from the Valley Volunteer Fire Department in Marion County, during the heavy rains that were in the region Thursday, Oct. 30, they were alerted to the accident in question at 12:05 p.m.
The accident took place at the 135-mile maker, which is near the Pleasant Valley accident of I-79.
Upon arrival, minutes after being notified, firefighters arrived to find the single vehicle. Fire officials say the vehicle had hydroplaned, left the roadway, and rolled over, stopping on its side.
The driver had self-extracted through the rear of the vehicle. No injuries were reported because of the incident.
Officials briefly closed the northbound off ramp to allow the vehicle to be towed and recovered from the scene. The West Virginia State Police oversaw the investigation.
