PSI killed as KSRTC bus crashes into motorcycles in Kaggalipura

A police sub inspector was killed and three others were injured when a KSRTC bus crashed into their motorcycles at Kaggalipura in Ramanagara on Monday.

The bus was heading from Kanakapura towards Bengaluru. The driver lost control and crashed into the median. The vehicle jumped to the other side of the road and crashed into two motorcycles coming from the opposite direction and then fell into a roadside drain, said the police.

The deceased was identified as Nagaraj. The police said that he served in the Electronics City traffic police station and was returning home with his daughter Kavya. Kavya and two others sustained severe injuries and were rushed to different hospitals in Bengaluru, where they are being treated in the ICU. A few passengers travelling in the bus also sustained minor injuries .

The Kaggalipura police have registered a case of death owing to negligence and rash and negligent driving against the driver for further investigation.
