Netanyahu has ‘left the door slightly open’ for a new deal

Catherine Norris Trent, FRANCE 24’s Senior Reporter reporting from Jerusalem, said that even when Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu called Hamas’s cease-fire proposal “ludicrous”, he “left the door slightly open” for a new deal. Talks are continuing behind the scenes about “whether there could be a deal sometime in the imminent future”.In Rafah, people are “absolutely terrified” about this war, said Trent, adding that many had already been displaced a first time.
