Multiple First Responders Give Aid at Harrison County Structure Fire that Sees Blaze Doused, Building Lost
Multiple first responders, led by the Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department, responded to a structure fire Tuesday evening, Jan. 6.
The call that alerted the Reynoldsville VFD came in at 6 p.m. It was for a garage fire at the beginning of Rock Camp Road in the Sardis community. Two units responded with five members of the volunteer staff.
Crews arrived on scene to find a heavily involved garage fire with audible explosions heard and nearby exposures. Fire personnel were able to utilized their equipment in an expedient manner to quickly extinguish the blaze.
According to the Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department, staff were on the scene for about an hour to battle the blaze impacting the building that was left destroyed. Other units who arrived to assist through mutual aid were the Lumberport, Nutter Fort, and Spelter Volunteer Fire Departments.
