Motorcycle, Vehicle Collision Leads to Rider Transport


According to a social media post from the Valley Volunteer Fire Department, on Saturday, May 17 at 6:05 p.m., the unit was alerted for a vehicle accident involving a motorcycle at the Interstate 79 Southbound off ramp in Whitehall. 132 mile marker. 


 


Squad-12 and Engine-122 responded. First responders arrived to find a vehicle vs motorcycle, with the rider on ground. Rider was alert and talking. 


 


This intersection was closed to allow safe patient care.  The patient was quickly packaged and loaded for transport.


  


Firefighters conducted traffic control, debris and fluid cleanup. Both the motorcycle and vehicle were recovered/


 


The Whitehall Police Department conducted the investigation. Valley VFD returned within the hour.


 


There was no information on the condition of the injured individual. The area in question, as can be seen in the photo, is at the intersection below Middletown Commons at the I-79 off and on ramps.
