Macron calls to halt weapons deliveries to Israel, but who is listening?

French President Emmanuel Macron’s call to halt deliveries to Israel of weapons for use in Gaza was “specifically a broad call for an international arms embargo”, said FRANCE 24’s International Affairs Editor Douglas Herbert.

But is it likely to be effective? Macron’s message “is a stark contrast to what we hear and see from the US policy, but it is likely to sway in any way shape or form Israel’s behaviour? … most likely not,” Herbert said.
