Likely Medical Condition Leads to Car Hitting Walmart



According to a social media post from the Valley Volunteer Fire Department in Marion County, on April 11 around 12:20 p.m. volunteers with the Valley Volunteer Fire Department were alerted for a vehicle accident with entrapment at the Walmart in Whitehall.


 

First responders arrived to find a single vehicle accident in the grocery pick-up area of Walmart. The vehicle had struck the block side of the building.  The responders also arrived to find no entrapment,


 


The driver of the vehicle had self removed himself prior to the arrival of emergency crews. It appeared a medical condition had occurred. 


 


The driver was then transported to local hospital. The vehicle that struck the building was recovered by Hawkins Towing and fluid and debris was cleaned up. No other injuries had occurred.   


 


The Whitehall Police Department is handling the investigation. Valley VFD personnel returned within the same hour.
