Kondapalli toys and Vengatagiri saris are seeing strong demand at ‘Stall-in-Mall’, being organised by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), say artisans.

NABARD is organising an exhibition-cum-sale of imitation jewellery, garments, Kondapalli toys and other products made by Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to encourage rural artisans and provide better marketing facilities for them, said NABARD Chief General Manager (CGM) M.R. Gopal.

“Stall-in-Mall is giving exposure to rural artisans. There is a good demand for Kondapalli toys and imitation jewellery and garments designed with latest embroidery works,” says an artisan Panuganti Satyanarayana of Kondapalli village in NTR District, who arranged a stall in PVM Mall, here on Saturday.

A designer, S. Vijaya Lakshmi of Kurnool, of Miracle NGO and P. Sumathi of Venkatagiri, who was running Moon NGO, thanked NABARD and Nestam NGO, who arranged the 15-day Stall-in-Mall to encourage the artisans.
