Harris puts Pennsylvania in spotlight with new Shapiro-narrated ad
Vice President Harris’s campaign on Friday unveiled its last Pennsylvania ad featuring Gov. Josh Shapiro (D), putting the critical battleground state in the spotlight.
The 30-second ad was narrated by Shapiro, who was once a front-runner for Harris’s running mate spot before she chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D).
“This election, its bigger than us. Its about the future. Do you want more chaos or, like me, are you ready for some common sense? That’s why I’m with Kamala, I’ve known her for two decades, she’s practical and she gets stuff done,” the governor says, sitting next to Harris.
Harris adds, “As president, I will chart a new way forward and find solutions to create jobs and bring down costs.”
The vice president will spend Monday in Pennsylvania to close out the campaign, traveling to Allentown, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia for rallies. Trump will also be in Pennsylvania on Monday.
The Keystone State carries the most electoral college votes out of all the swing states. The two are polling neck-and-neck there, with Trump leading with 48.6 percent of the vote and Harris with 48.1 percent, according to Decision Desk HQ/ The Hill’s aggregation of polls.
A new Marist poll released on Friday showed Harris leading in Pennsylvania with 50 percent to Trump’s 48 percent.
