Gov. Sanders signs executive order to provide relief for Arkansas storms
Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders signed an executive order giving those affected by the April storms extra time to file their state tax returns.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed an executive order on Friday to provide relief for the severe storms, tornadoes and flooding that began on April 2.
This executive action will allow the Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration to give those affected by severe weather extra time to file a state tax return.
Individuals in affected counties will have until July 31 to file state tax returns that were originally due April 2.
The order also includes waived fees for duplicate driver’s licenses, instruction permits and identification cards.
The $10 fee for expedited title processing services and penalty for failure to register a vehicle or renew a vehicle registration will also be waived for affected citizens.
