Giant pandas arriving at National Zoo after agreement with China lapsed last year

Generations of giant pandas have called the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., home for more than 50 years. But last year, an agreement with China lapsed, sending the pandas home. After delicate panda diplomacy, the new pandas are making their arrivals Tuesday.
