Georgia cracks down on pro-EU protesters with new fines

Georgia’s new President Mikheil Kavelashvili signed a series of legislative amendments, a day after he was inaugurated in a ceremony that took place behind closed doors. The amendments target the country’s pro-EU movement which has seen several mass protests in the past weeks.
