Family of Educator and Coach Tom Fogg who Passed Away Recently Seeks Funds for Memorial Scholarship

Tommy “Tom” Fogg, a beloved educator in Harrison County who spent the bulk of his decades teaching and coaching in the Bridgeport portion of the public school system, passed away April 30.

Fogg passed at 66 after a battle with cancer.

To help keep his memory alive, the family recently began the process of creating the Coach Fogg Memorial Scholarship to help honor both his life and his love of sports. Fogg spent years coaching football and basketball.

According to a social media post by the family, the newly created scholarship will be awarded to high school athletes that will be attending either Fairmont State University or West Virginia University, both of which were Fogg’s alma maters. The post also stated that 100 percent of funds raised will be sent and entrusted to the Bridgeport High School Alumni and Friends Foundation.
