Family, friends worried after Tempe man disappears
The 32-year-old man was last seen on a security camera walking toward a parking lot Monday morning in Tempe.
TEMPE, Ariz. — The family and friends of a Tempe resident are concerned for his well being after not hearing from him since Sunday evening.
Michael Bayne, 32, was last spotted on a neighbor’s security camera walking through his complex near Scottsdale Road and Mesquite Circle on the morning of Feb. 16 and hasn’t been seen since.
His sister, Brittany, said she’s not sure where Michael was going that morning and feels there’s “something not right” about the whole situation since it’s not like her brother to disappear without making contact.
After Michael failed to show up for work, his family became worried and contacted local police. His family didn’t notice any sign of foul play at his residence.
The Tempe Police Department confirmed that a missing person’s report has been taken for Bayne and a detective will be assigned to review the case.
Brittany Bayne said Michael’s wallet was found at his home, but his car and phone were not there. Since Michael suffers from diabetes, his sister worries about him not having access to his insulin.
His phone apparently pinged to a location in Mesa near McKellips Road and Country Club Drive on Tuesday, but there was no sign of him when family and friends visited that area.
