ESPN’s College GameDay announces Week 11 destination

ESPN announced Saturday night that College GameDay is headed to Lubbock for a Big 12 showdown between BYU and Texas Tech.
Host Rece Davis is at the helm for his 11th season, joined at the desk by GameDay analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban. College football insider Pete Thamel, college football betting analyst ‘Stanford Steve’ Coughlin and reporters Jen Lada and Jess Sims round out the GameDay cast for the 2025 college football season.
Behren Morton threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns in his return from an injury, J’Koby Williams ran for 135 yards and a score, and No. 13 Texas Tech romped past sloppy, mistake-prone Kansas State 43-20 on Saturday.
Cameron Dickey also had a touchdown run for the Red Raiders (8-1, 5-1 Big 12), who forced five turnovers while snapping an eight-game losing streak against the Wildcats (4-5, 3-3) with their first win in Manhattan since the 2008 season.
Texas Tech is off to its best start in conference play since that year, when Mike Leach guided the team to the Cotton Bowl.
BYU was off Saturday, but it was a topic of conversation during GameDay on Saturday.
“BYU is gonna have a couple big games here,” McAfee said about the Big 12 title race. “TCU, Cinci down the road. They are undefeated for a reason and I know (the Utah crowd) is not going to like hearing this, but the Holy War happened. The game took place.
“And there is a freshman quarterback for BYU – Bear Bachmeier – who looks very cool. He has a very cool number. He has a very cool name. He used to be able to run all over the place. He was a dawg. No. 47, looks like a linebacker, plays like a linebacker.”
