Drug unit run by ex-sarpanch busted in Madhya Pradesh | India News
INDORE: The anti-narcotics department on Sunday seized 1.1kg of MD (mephedrone) worth over Rs 2 crore and confiscated equipment used in its production. Two men were arrested, while a third – a former sarpanch – is on the run. SP Suraj Verma of Neemuch district’s narcotics cell said that police intercepted a motorcycle, following a tipoff, on Saturday and seized 800 grams of MD, worth Rs 1.6 crore, from suspects Balusingh Panwar (46) and Kamlesh Prajapat (34). During interrogation, police found a stash of MD and drug-making equipment hidden in a water tank. tnn
