Donald Trump Jr. claims Biden administration is trying to start ‘World War 3’ ahead of Trump’s presidency
Donald Trump Jr. claimed Sunday that the United States’ recent aid to Ukraine is a bid by the Biden Administration to start “World War 3” before his father Donald Trump takes office in January.
President Joe Biden, 81, authorized the Ukrainian military to use American-supplied long-range missiles to strike targets inside of Russia on Monday, a stark departure from his previous approaches that have aimed to de-escalate the war.
Trump Jr., 46, tweeted that the “military-industrial complex” is trying to undermine his dad before he takes office by pushing the war further into chaos.
“The Military Industrial Complex seems to want to make sure they get World War 3 going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives,” he tweeted.
“Gotta lock in those $Trillions. Life be damned!!! Imbeciles!”
Biden’s decision permits the Ukrainian military to use the US-made Army Tactical Missile Systems in the Kursk region, which sits on the northeast border between the two countries. The missiles have about a 190-mile range and boast a massive blast radiance.
Ukraine signaled that it would take advantage of the new stock of weapons within days after months of pleading for permission to use the American missiles amid crushing setbacks on the battlefield.
February marks the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion that killed tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilians.
Trump, 78, has vowed to end the war. After winning the election earlier this month, the president-elect had calls with both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
“As President Trump has said on the campaign trail, he is the only person who can bring both sides together in order to negotiate peace, and work towards ending the war and stopping the killing,” Trump’s communications director Steven Cheung told The Post.
The incoming president has not revealed details of his specific plan to end the war.
Of Trump’s five children, Trump Jr. has always been the closest to his father’s political action and is reportedly playing a key part on the transition team, including helping decide the ever-growing number of controversial cabinet nominees.
