City of Clarksburg Deputy Police Chief Jason Webber Recognized for 25 Years of Law Enforcement Service
A quarter of a century ago, Webber began with the department as a patrolman. He joined a force that his mother, Trena, worked for in an administrative capacity for many years.
Eventually, Webber worked his way up the ranks. For much of his time, he served as a detective where he put his skills involving technology and cyber crimes to good use.
From there, Webber moved into the second in command spot under Chief Mark Kiddy. On Dec. 16, 2022, Webber was sworn into the deputy chief post by Clarksburg City Clerk Annette Wright.
Webber replaced Depty Chief Randy Hartley, who also served in the same capacity for the City of Bridgeport, when Hartley retired.
