Buc-ee’s receives permits for construction of first Arkansas location

BENTON, Ark. — Officials in Benton have shared that contractors are nearing completion of the ground and dirt work for Buc-ee’s, just four months after the official groundbreaking for the travel center.

The highly-anticipated store will be located at exit 114 near Haskell and is expected to create 250 new jobs in the area.

“We are happy to say that they have purchased and received all the required permits to start the building of the travel center, gas pumps and parking lots,” said officials with the City of Benton. “Those permits include HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Landscaping, and Building Construction. We expect to see noticeable changes on the property real soon.”

Once open, the Buc-ees in Benton will be the first one in the state of Arkansas. The travel center will include 120 fueling positions, thousands of snack and grocery items, Buc-ee’s barbecue, fresh fudge, and home décor.
