Board of Education Announces Harrison County’s 2025 Golden Horseshoe Winners

The Harrison County Board of Education recently announced the 2025 Golden Horseshoe winners from Harrison County.

Winners are Leah Bice and Owen Glass from Bridgeport Middle School, Jaycee Palmer and Riley Davis from Lincoln Middle School and Abram Wells and Ariel Lamp from Washington Irving Middle School.

These students showed amazing knowledge of West Virginia history and earned one of the State’s highest honors for middle schoolers. Since 1931, winners have been “knighted” for their smarts and hard work.

They’ll be honored at a special ceremony on June 10, 2025, at the WV Culture Center in Charleston.
