Arkansas women’s golf team advances to NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio — No. 2 Arkansas women’s golf advanced to the 2025 NCAA Championships after a runner-up finish (-3, 861) at the Columbus Regional at the Ohio State University Golf Club.
Arkansas will compete in next week’s NCAA Championship at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California beginning May 16. This is the program’s 13th NCAA Championship appearance.
The Razorbacks entered the day in sole possession of first place but No. 23 Kansas, led by sophomore Lyla Louderbaugh (1st, -12), fired a tournament best 12-under third round to win the regional by three strokes.
Maria José Marin, the 2024-25 SEC Player of the Year, birdied five of her first six holes to start her best round of the week and only bogeyed once at the par 4 No. 11, the toughest hole on the course with a 4.49 stroke average. The sophomore birdied two more times to finish the day 6-under.
Along with Arkansas and Kansas, No. 14 Ohio State, No. 39 UNLV and No. 10 LSU advanced to Carlsbad from the Columbus Regional.
