Arkansas man arrested for possessing of child sexual abuse materials

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A Cabot man has now been arrested for multiple charges involving child sexual abuse materials.

According to reports, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children received multiple cyber tips, which then prompted the Special Investigations Division of the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office to execute a search warrant at a property.

An investigation on May 23 led to the arrest of a minor for his involvement in uploading child sexual abuse materials (CSAM).

A digital forensic examination of the devices found that one of the phones found at the property belonged to 19-year-old Elijah Terrell Johnson of Cabot and contained CSAM.

On June 6, agents got a warrant for Johnson’s arrest, and he was arrested and taken to the Lonoke County Jail.

“Safeguarding our most vulnerable remains one of our highest priorities, and my office will continue to pursue justice for those who have been exploited,” said Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin.
