Arkansans celebrate huge lottery wins in June

Three lucky Arkansans won big this month, plus a winning Natural State Jackpot ticket worth $90,000 still remains unclaimed.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The month of June brought some big lottery wins to three lucky Arkansans, plus a winning ticket sold for Tuesday night’s Natural State Jackpot drawing remains unclaimed.

Hot Springs resident Edward Gunter won $200,000 playing Psychedelic Payout, a $10 instant game. He purchased his winning ticket at Lake Hamilton Superstop, located at 2070 Airport Road in Hot Springs.

Edward was at home, on the phone with his father, when he realized he had won.

“I’m not going to tell you everything I said,” he laughed. “But I was very excited!”

But he was most eager to share the good news with his wife.

“Honey, I’ve got something to tell you about life,” he said to her. “It’s about to change!”

Another winner, Jennifer O. of Washington County, won $50,000 playing $50,000 Frenzy, a $20 scratch-off game. She got her winning ticket at Crystal Hill Food Mart, located at 6116 Crystal Hill Road in North Little Rock.

“I was just running errands,” she described. “I wasn’t thinking anything about it.”

She was blown away when she discovered she won a $50,000 top prize.

A third winner, Greg J. of Little Rock, also won $50,000 while playing $50,000 Frenzy. His winning ticket came from Divine at 13901 Chenal Parkway in Little Rock.

“I thought, ‘No, that’s not right. Something’s wrong,’” Greg said when he saw he had won.

Now, Greg said he looks forward to investing his winnings.

If you recently bought a Natural State Jackpot lottery ticket, you may want to double-check your numbers— a winning ticket worth $90,000 was sold for the July 1 drawing at Flash Market #7182, located at 1903 FayeDeville Road in Van Buren.

The winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
