Area Man who was Teacher and Veteran of U.S. Army, Samuel Joseph McCullough, Passes Away at 80

Sam was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1963 and attended Salem College receiving his BA Degree in 1968. He was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving January 1969-December 1970. Sam attended the Grafton Blueville Nazarene Church and was a member of the Parkview Nazarene Church. Sam worked sixteen years for North Central Community Action, worked at MJE Commerical Electric, and many years at Grafton High School teaching carpentry and building maintenance, retiring in 2020. He liked fishing, hunting, kayaking, and was a gardener. Sam loved his dogs Jimmy and Wiggles.
Sam is survived by one son, Brain and family, nieces: Ashley Miller, Amber Brown (Lawrence), one grandson, Ethan Andriaccio, one granddaughter, Juleena Andriaccio, who he dearly loved. Sister and brother in law, Susan and Lawrence Spadafore, brother in law, Jeff Friend and several niceces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by one sister, Katherine; two brothers in law, Denvil Duffield, and Randy Miller.
Family and friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, WV, on Monday, May 19,2025 from 3:00-7:00PM, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 12:00 Noon-1:00PM the hour of the funeral with Pastor Mike Delligatti officiating.at the Parkview Church of the Nazarene Blueville Campus. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery with full Military Honors accorded by the US Army Honor Guard Camp Dawson and the Taylor County Honor Guard.
