AHSAA soccer playoffs: Spanish Fort girls blank Pike Road; more scores
The third-ranked Spanish Fort girls advanced to the Alabama High School Athletic Association state soccer championship semifinals with a 2-0 win at Pike Road on Friday.
Beatriz Souza and Olivia Malozzi scored for Toros, who improved to 19-1-2 on the season. Holland Burkhalter had the clean sheet in goal for Spanish Fort.
The Toros have outscored their opponents 8-1 through the first three rounds of the playoffs and 105-13 on the year.
Pike Road finished its season at 17-7.
Spanish Fort will take on the winner of the No. 7 Briarwood Christian vs. Northridge quarterfinal
