'A source of French pride'? Louvre museum's poor conditions prompt outcry

The director of the Louvre last week sent a memo to France’s culture minister detailing the dilapidated state of the Paris museum, spurring President Emmanuel Macron to organise a visit on Tuesday. Union members say up until now their complaints about the state of the museum have been ignored.
