Georgia goes to polls: High voter turnout, opposition optimistic




Georgians cast their ballots Saturday in an election that could determine the South Caucasus country’s future in the European Union. Polling stations across Georgia have reported a high voter turnout, boosting the pro-Western opposition’s confidence in a vote that could remove the ruling party Georgian Dream from power, FRANCE 24’s Régis Gente said, reporting from Tbilisi.
