Nobel Prize in physics awarded to John Hopfield, Geoffrey Hinton for machine learning discoveries

The Nobel Prize in physics was on Tuesday awarded to John Hopfield of Princeton University and Geoffrey Hinton of the University of Toronto for their “foundational discoveries and inventions that enable machine learning with artificial neural networks”.
