Israel tells U.S. it plans to launch limited ground offensive in Lebanon

The Pentagon says it is sending thousands of additional American troops to the Middle East to bolster security. CBS News has learned Israel has told the U.S. it intends to launch a limited ground offensive in Lebanon to follow up on its aerial assault that wiped out most of Hezbollah’s leadership.
