Initial probe shows Lebanon pagers 'booby-trapped with explosives'

A preliminary investigation has found hundreds of pagers used by Hezbollah members that exploded across Lebanon this week had been booby-trapped, a security official told AFP on Wednesday. “Data indicates the devices were pre-programmed to detonate and contained explosive materials planted next to the battery,” the official said.
