Langham Appoints Jack Xiao as Senior Vice President of Operations

Langham has appointed Jack Xiao as Senior Vice President
of Operations,
China.
The appointment comes as Lo Young steps
down to retire after close to seven years of service as the
group’s Regional Vice President – China, Macau, Taiwan, and most
recently as its Senior Vice President of Operations, China.
Jack Xiao
Stationed at the company’s Shanghai office, Jack will
oversee Langham’s mainland China portfolio of hotels and resorts while
also supervising the group’s functional teams for the market, including
sales, revenue, F&B, human resources,
finance, marketing, as well as design and technical services.
Reporting directly to Langham’s Chief Executive Officer, Bob van den Oord,
Jack has extensive experience working in the hospitality industry
and has held key positions with Accor, Wanda Hotels & Resorts, Starwood
Hotels & Resorts and Yongle Huazhu, among other companies.
Jack also served as a guest professor at Jiangsu Union Vocational
College, Suzhou Vocational Technology School, Suzhou Open
University and Hangzhou Normal University.
