Local Organizations Donate Produce Boxes to UHC Outpatient Cancer Patients


BRIDGEPORT — The Progressive Women’s Association of Clarksburg, the West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival, and Green Acres Farm will donate produce boxes to outpatient cancer patients at United Hospital Center on August 14 at 1:00 p.m.


 


The donation is intended to provide fresh, nutritious produce to patients receiving outpatient cancer care while demonstrating community support for individuals and families navigating treatment.


 


Representatives from the participating organizations will gather at United Hospital Center for the donation, highlighting a shared commitment to helping meet practical needs in the local community.


 


“We are grateful for the opportunity to support outpatient cancer patients with fresh produce and a visible reminder that their community is behind them,” said Betty Waddy of The Progressive Women’s Association of Clarksburg. “This donation reflects what can happen when local groups work together to care for their neighbors.”
