City Man, Reverend who Founded, Pastored Church in Area, Veteran, Author, Dr. Donald Johnson, Passes
Donald was a proud graduate of Huntington East High School, Marshall University, and Fairmont State College. After school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Donald was a faithful member of his community, as he founded and pastored Life Builders Fellowship Church in Anmoore, WV. In his later years, Donald served and pastored at Stonewood Fellowship Church in Nutter Fort, WV. He was also a chair member of Life Choice in Clarksburg, and authored the book, “Are You Sure?”. Donald will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Lee and her husband Philip, and grandson, Garrett Lee, all of Bridgeport.
He is also survived by his loving wife, Judy Morgan Johnson, stepdaughter, Amy Shanor and her husband Eric of Pennsylvania, Jamie Morgan and her partner Camron Mitchell of Fairmont, step grandchildren, Skyler Morgan and his wife Selena, Addie Shanor, Wyatt Shanor and his wife Jackie, Jesse Shanor, Claire Vukovich, Troy Mitchell, and Camberlee Mitchell, as well as step great-grandchildren, Levi, Hudson, and Akelynn Shanor.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 from 3 pm until 5 pm.
The memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 5 pm with Pastor Roger Fontaine officiating. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 2 PM in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 7955 US-60, Barboursville, WV 25504, where full military honors will be rendered.
