Legendary San Francisco Brands Set to Open at PIER 39
To get a true taste of San Francisco, look no further than PIER 39, the ultimate Bay Area shopping destination for local gifts, treats, and more. In fact, over 70% of PIER 39 shops are small businesses and will soon include iconic San Francisco-based stores like Love on Haight and Hot Cookie.
For the first time since opening on Haight-Ashbury in 1992, Love on Haight is expanding outside its namesake neighborhood. At this new location, you’ll get the chance to step inside the “Tie-dye Emporium” and experience a kaleidoscope of color featuring world-renowned psychedelic designs and counterculture art.
Hot Cookie, the legendary Castro bakery famed for its delectable cookies and cheeky sense of humor, is also making its debut at PIER 39. Later this year, locals and visitors alike can get their fix of the city’s favorite sweet, irreverent treats — right on the waterfront.

Summer of Love at PIER 39 (August 22–23, 12-7 p.m. daily)
It’s the event of the season: Summer of Love, the ultimate all-ages San Francisco party debuting in the city for the first time. This free outdoor summer event is a two-day, throwback celebration of all things peace, love, tie-dye, and psychedelic music — a can’t-miss occasion for the whole family. The weekend also serves as the official grand opening for Love on Haight’s new waterfront home.
