Semi truck hits ADOT contractor in Arizona



DPS said the driver of the semi truck was taken to a Tucson hospital.

TUCSON, Ariz. — A construction worker contracted with the Arizona Department of Transportation was struck in their vehicle by a semi truck on Tuesday in southern Arizona.

Officials said the collision was reported in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near milepost 365 in Bowie.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the ADOT contractor sustained minor head injuries and the semi’s driver was taken to a hospital in Tucson.

Access to the westbound lanes of I-10 may be restricted while officials investigate the crash.
