Local Veteran who Served as Minister and Leader on Religious Front, Robert Harrington Moore, Passes



Robert “Bob” Harrington Moore, 92, of Clarksburg passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025 in Clarksburg at the West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility.  He was born on January 6, 1933 in Hayward, CA a son of the late Milton “Roy” Moore and Irene “Alice” Eder Moore.


 

He was survived by his wife of 67 years, Pattie Barnes Moore whom he married on September 6, 1957.


 


He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Jean Moore Boisvert and husband Henri Paul of Clarksburg; grandchildren, Jamie Elizabet Murray and Sarah Christina Boisvert both of Clarksburg; step-grandson, Brandon Michael Boisvert of Clinton, NC and great grandchildren, Zacariah Carroll and Bellatrix “Trixie” Carroll of Clarksburg and Iris Boisvert of Clinton, NC; one sister, Margie “Moore” of Hazelton of Spring, TX; and many nieces and nephews.


 


Roberts life was a testament to his unwavering faith, dedication and love for his family.  Through his many years he served as a youth pastor, deacon, minister and he was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the United States Air Force.  He was a founding family head of Mount Salem Revival Grounds in West Union, WV.  His faith was the cornerstone of his long life and he was poured love and wisdom into everyone he met.  Robert adored his God and family.  Nothing brought him more joy than the time spent with his great grandchildren, who were the light of his long life.  His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched with his kindness, strength and love.


 


He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Harold Moore and Milton Moore.

Interment were at the West Virginia National Cemetery where full military honors were accorded by the United States Air Force and the Harrison County Honor Guard on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM.  Online condolences may be sent to www.DavisFuneralHomeWV.com.  Davis Funeral Home is honored to assist the Moore family.
